The Dynamo Fencing Club, located in Richmond B.C., is Canada’s largest and most recognized Fencing club, with nearly one quarter of Canada’s National Team calling Dynamo home.

Dynamo proudly provides world class instruction to a diverse base of membership that hail from all corners of society. Beyond athletics, our core mission is to help our members achieve personal growth and development in all facets of life, be it academics, business or service to our community. Through collaboration with academic institutions across Canada and the United States, we have helped our members launch successful careers in all walks of life by gaining admission to top NCAA, Ive League, and Canadian Universities.

Dynamo proudly boasts what is widely considered the strongest and most comprehensive elite training program for competitive fencers in all Three (3) Weapons. Our competitive success is grounded in a diverse, vibrant and ever-growing community of recreational fencers aged from pre-school to post-retirement. No matter the age or level of our Fencers, the cornerstone of our success and sustainable growth is top-level instruction and a commitment to holistic physical and personal development. The success of these principles is evidenced in the performance of our athletes at the world’s most prestigious tournaments. Dynamo is also a home to a large and diverse community of recreational fencers of all ages, skill levels, and cultural backgrounds, especially Youth Fencers.

Dynamo’s commitment to Youth development and education is evident in it’s longstanding relationship with the West Vancouver School board and its Premier Fencing Academy. From it’s inception in 2013, this program has quickly grown to become one of West Vancouver’s largest external sports programs, offering a fully accredited enrollment for all of West Vancouver’s Youth.

Over the past 20 years of the club’s existence, Dynamo athletes have become mainstays on Canada’s National Teams and have, through hard work and discipline, secured Dynamo’s spot as Canada’s premier Fencing club. Dynamo’s head coach and founder Maitre Victor Gantsevich has coached National Teams in Three (3) different countries and is currently the Head Coach of Canada’s Senior Mens Team.

Additionally, Dynamo has embraced its role as an ambassador of the sport of Fencing in Canada. Since 2013, Dynamo has proudly stepped into its role as a key partner of the Vancouver Men’s Epee World Cup held every year in Richmond B.C. This event is considered to be one of the Top Five (5) most prestigious Epee tournaments in the World and the only one of its kind in North America.

Dynamo’s spacious premises feature Twenty (23) competition-size metallic Fencing strips,  target work stations, a fully equipped gym, dining space, games room, and a dedicated quiet (wifi enabled) space for young members to complete schoolwork before and after training. Dynamo also possesses a Pro Shop with a wide selection of fencing equipment, customized to ensure optimal performance. Apart from seasonal and year-round programs, the club also offers evening drop-in opportunities, training camps, birthday parties and corporate events.

Dynamo will always be a cornerstone of Fencing in Canada and will continue to strive toward the ultimate goal of producing Canada’s first Olympic medal in Fencing. As Dynamo continues to grow, we will maintain our steadfast dedication to our founding principle of utilizing fencing to help shape the next generation of Canada’s Youth into strong, motivated, and disciplined members of society.
